Can I read the EPUB in the Kobo Books app?

Yes. Download the EPUB and use your device’s Share or Open with option to open it in Kobo Books. Availability and syncing may vary by device.

What is the simplest option?

On an iPhone or iPad, open the EPUB in Apple Books. On Android, upload it to Google Play Books. Both apps remember your place and provide controls for font size, brightness, bookmarks, and page appearance.

Do I need an internet connection to read it?

Only while downloading or importing the EPUB. After it is saved in your reading app, you can usually read it offline.

Can I add the audiobook to Apple Books on an iPhone or iPad?

To add an MP3 audiobook to Apple Books, import it into Apple Books on a Mac or Apple Music/iTunes on a PC, and then sync it to your device. If you do not have a computer, use the Files app, BookPlayer, or VLC instead.

Can I upload the MP3 to Audible?

Audible does not normally allow personal MP3 files to be added to its mobile library. Instead, use another audiobook player, Apple Books through a computer, or your device’s audio player.

Can I use Spotify?

Spotify does not provide a simple way to add a personal audiobook directly to its mobile audiobook library. Its Local Files feature may work, but it usually requires additional setup through a computer. Instead, use another audiobook player, Apple Books through a computer, or your device’s audio player.

Can I use YouTube Music?

Yes, but uploading the MP3 normally requires a computer. After uploading it to YouTube Music, you can listen through the YouTube Music app on your phone.

Can I use VLC Media Player?

Yes. VLC is a free option for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, and Windows. Download VLC, open or share the MP3 file with the app, and select it to begin listening.

What is the simplest option?

If you are using only a phone, download the MP3 and open it in BookPlayer on an iPhone or Smart AudioBook Player on Android. These apps remember your listening position and provide audiobook features such as playback-speed controls and sleep timers.
